Hi there, and thanks for your interest in my writing.
I am D.M.(Doug) Pruden, a science fiction author writing Sci-Fi Adventure & Space Opera, with a strong Hard Sci-Fi core. I worked for 35 years in the petroleum industry as a geophysicist, so my desire to keep the science realistic in my writing is ingrained in me.
For most of my life I’ve been plagued with stories banging around inside my head that demanded to be let out into the world. I currently spend my time as an empty-nester in Calgary, Alberta, Canada with my long suffering wife of 36 years.
When I’m not writing science fiction stories, I like to spend time playing with my grandchildren and trying to improve my golf handicap.
